RIGHT WING MSM JOURNO COMPLAINS OF MEDIA LIES ON ALEPPO

This is a well established foreign affairs journo at the daily mail. This has been one of the only articles in the imperialist mainstream media that has questioned anything of western reporting on Syria of late. The imperialists can afford to have this article out there, as its the only one and it helps to create a atmosphere that there is a critical conversation about these things when there clearly isnt one, and the publication of such an article indicates that the imperialist lies are so bad, that they have to put this out. - Sons of Malcolm

...the old cliche ‘the first casualty of war is truth’ is absolutely right, and should be displayed in letters of fire over every TV and newspaper report of conflict, for ever.

Almost nothing can be checked. You become totally reliant on the people you are with, and you identify with them.

If you can find a working phone, you will feel justified in shouting whatever you have got into the mouthpiece – as simple and unqualified as possible. And your office will feel justified in putting it on the front page (if you are lucky).

And that is when you are actually there, which is a sort of excuse for bending the rules.

In the past few days we have been bombarded with colourful reports of events in eastern Aleppo, written or transmitted by people in Beirut (180 miles away and in another country), or even London (2,105 miles away and in another world). There have, we are told, been massacres of women and children, people have been burned alive.

The sources for these reports are so-called ‘activists’. Who are they? As far as I know, there was not one single staff reporter for any Western news organisation in eastern Aleppo last week. Not one.

This is for the very good reason that they would have been kidnapped and probably murdered. The zone was ruled without mercy by heavily armed Osama Bin Laden sympathisers, who were bombarding the west of the city with powerful artillery (they frequently killed innocent civilians and struck hospitals, since you ask). That is why you never see pictures of armed males in eastern Aleppo, just beautifully composed photographs of handsome young unarmed men lifting wounded children from the rubble, with the light just right.

The women are all but invisible, segregated and shrouded in black, just as in the IS areas, as we saw when they let them out.

For reasons that I find it increasingly hard to understand or excuse, much of the British media refer to these Al Qaeda types coyly as ‘rebels’ (David Cameron used to call them ‘moderates’). But if they were in any other place in the world, including Birmingham or Belmarsh, they would call them extremists, jihadis, terrorists and fanatics. One of them, Abu Sakkar, famously cut out and sank his teeth into the heart of a fallen enemy, while his comrades cheered. This is a checked and verified fact, by the way.

Sakkar later confirmed it to the BBC, when Western journalists still had contact with these people, and there is film of it if you care to watch. There is also film of a Syrian ‘rebel’ group,
Nour al-din al Zenki, beheading a 12-year-old boy called Abdullah Issa. They smirk a lot. It is on the behalf of these ‘moderates’ that MPs staged a wholly one-sided debate last week, and on their behalf that so many people have been emoting equally one-sidedly over alleged massacres and supposed war crimes by Syrian and Russian troops – for which I have yet to see a single piece of independent, checkable evidence.

Sons of Malcolm’s New Year Message: Prepare and ACT to Combat New Fascism in the ‘West’ Destroying our Homelands

(Sons of Malcolm's New Year message a year ago)

CHOICE QUOTES:
“Everyone had had enough of the brits, and the brits have had enough of everyone else”

“The growth of New Fascism is directly related to the destruction of Libya in 2011, just as the rise of European Fascism in the 1920s and 30s was predicated on the colonial occupation of Ethiopia (Abyssinia) and Libya.”

“Imperialism is terrified of China, China is the number one state and country for imperialism to destroy.”

“The corruption of the entire left is so deep that it is unfit for anything other than posture and fakery with the use of much radical rhetoric.”

“The westerners are scared, they are feeling the loss of all the goodies a spoilt child has from its father: colonialism.”

“The means to resolve these contradictions is to negate the whole system, and there is only one proven way to do so: decolonial anti-imperialist socialism”

----------------------

Everyone has felt a collapse of morale and hope this last year. Everyone. Colonial delusions and illusions are being burnt to the ground, incinerated into vapour. The comfortable old order in the West (always predicated on colonial genocide in our Homelands) is clearly seeing the beginning of the end. The colonial social democratic parties are exposed and useless – Labour Party and Corbyn, Democrats and Bernie/Hilary/Obama, Syriza etc. Failed. They cannot do anything; they are too tied to the system. The old centre-right colonial parties. Finished. The New Fascist revolution is seeing the beginning of the start of its historical rise, and is burning everything in front of it. The New Fascism relies heavily on growing imperialist wars and the racist propaganda and terrorist acts that it facilitates. Every single terrorist act in London and France and further beyond shows clearly the state were watching the perpetrators very closely, this is all clearly established, and I have written extensively on this for the RT website and Counterpunch as well as my countless TV appearances.

2016 started on the heels of the so-called and racist named ‘refugee crisis’, actually a crisis of imperialism collapsing into fascism that has continued its export of fascism and societal collapse of the last 500 years and more recently against Somalia, Iraq, Yemen, Libya and Syria etc. THIS is what has caused the movement of our peoples, we come to the West not for the weather and welcoming parties, but cos you took all our shit and killed all our people. We coming to get ours.

This year started with the great constructed fear engulfing the masses, the dominant sections of Western states are clearly looking to New Fascism attempting to divide and distract people from the culpability of the system and to try and ensure people don’t want to overthrow this system and put in place a decolonial anti-imperialist system, otherwise and also known as socialism (not the western colonial kind, but the Cuban kind for example).

Our masses traversing to the West was played up by the intelligence services (the leading political and organizational factions of the state) through their propaganda arms (the mainstream media), the fascist revolution continued to intensify. Generations of Western white’s colonial brainwashing, never challenged by the similarly colonially-brainwashed western left, and the Black radical movements failures to develop anything strategic for many generations has meant that whites and increasing amounts of non-whites in the West have gone into New Fascism as an ‘answer’ to their woes and fears. It must be stated very clearly, although non-white people in the West are being corrupted into loyalty to the West, still the great majority of them in the West are in opposition to New Fascism, and remain they along with migrants from East Europe, remain the main communities that are more than any other are in a position where they increasingly have to push back.

2016 also saw the total humiliation of the Brits, especially the English in Europe. Their response to this historical humiliation was to tell Europe that they are out, and they are going on a extreme UK state project of fascism – Brexit. The humiliation of the brits was that the great symbols of Britishness and the royal personified, the pop-bellied, sun burnt, pint swigging, rapey and racist ‘lads’ of their proud nation got smacked-silly all over and across France. Everyone had had enough of the brits, and the brits have had enough of everyone else. The Brexit/Leave camp, by default the brits especially the English want us (migrants and non-whites) to ‘Leave’ to ‘exit’, we are not going to, so the confrontation is set: the state and the racists vs the unorganized migrants and non-whites.

The internal increasing and irresolvable contradictions of his colonial-imperialist-capitalist system are intensifying, the root contradiction is that this system is global and social in scope and organization, but despite its social structure, the distribution of wealth goes to fewer and fewer hands and the poverty of the masses grows as a result. The system also has an irresolvable contradiction between the colonial centre and the rest of the world, the colonial centre is only such as its based on increasing genocide and exploitation of the rest of the world. And as Resistance has increased this last 500 years, and as the Global South led by China contracts the space for imperialism in the world, the imperialists go to war and destruction as a ‘logic’ and ‘rationale’ of the survival of their own system. THESE are the basic simplified reasons for all the strife and conflict and upset in the world.

The growth of New Fascism is directly related to the destruction of Libya in 2011, just as the rise of European Fascism in the 1920s and 30s was predicated on the colonial occupation of Ethiopia (Abyssinia) and Libya. If European fascism was stopped in Africa, it would not have spread and grown in Europe. The western left championed the Nato destruction of Libya, that export of fascism was making European fascism grow.

The means to resolve these contradictions is to negate the whole system, and there is only one proven way to do so: decolonial anti-imperialist socialism, and the evidence to its great successes are all the experience of the socialist countries that massively increased the liberation of our peoples, and the current examples of China where ALL the people are seeing a rise in their living and infrastructure based on a socialist state that is using a mixed economy to advance the cause.
Imperialism is terrified of China, China is the number one state and country for imperialism to destroy.

We now have the most vicious and unstable leaderships in leading western countries with Brexit and Trump, and with a mob of other fascists about to come to leadership in Western political systems. We are facing clearly intensified imperialist wars of destructions, every few years we see another one of our Homelands destroyed by imperialism and its proxies supported by the Western left. Next for destruction are Iran, Cuba, Korea, and then the final big one: China. Or are they just going to ‘cut to the chase’ and go for China a lot sooner? Indications are that. We will continue to see the destruction of our Homelands in general with exceptional moments of small victories, as our Homelands do not have the things in place to defeat such attacks, and the central thing is that we do not have multi-lateral (between many of our countries) agreements of mutual military defence pacts, ie., if one of us are attacked, we all come to the defence of them. Without China, Russia, India, SADC and much of the rest of Asia and Africa uniting on a MILITARY level, we are all subject to be destroyed one by one, and that’s what we are seeing.

As New Fascism emerges in the West, we see no resistance, no strategic resistance. A lot of middle class and lefty moaning and hand wringing, but the period from June 24 until now has shown that England will see no strategic Resistance, the corruption of the entire left is so deep that it is unfit for anything other than posture and fakery with the use of much radical rhetoric. The migrant and non-white communities are seeing no movement forward, no galvanization, just worry, anxieties and growing isolation and loss of political clout potentially and actually as New Fascism develops. Africans and Asians will continue and are continuing to arrive here, but they are arriving in a collapsing and defeating trajectory, they are coming here with no organization but for the presence of their growing communities.

The challenges are simply these:

1, Defend our Homelands! Oppose and advocate for the defeat of every imperialist provocation.

2, Develop the grassroots in the West to defend our Homelands and unite peoples!

3, Develop understanding the ideological decolonial, anti-imperialist socialist theories.

4, Gather together, show commitment, discipline, courage and determination, work with on things you agree on, discuss the differences constructively, and ACT and BUILD.

The reasons why we are seeing no growth of the Resistance in the West is because of the colonial corruption that is clearly evident in the left too, but its also because people are waking up to the fact that the entire world of the West has been a colonial bubble, a colonial fantasy built on bloodied sand, people are realizing it’s the start of the ending of that and are horrified they have to start to deal with the realities the people of the rest of the non-western world have had to deal with for centuries. The westerners are scared, they are feeling the loss of all the goodies a spoilt child has from its father: colonialism.

History shows, tragically and horrifically, that people only move with righteous ethics through total slaughter and collapse such as that in the first and second world wars. Those who are from and loyal to the Global South cause wish westerners would see what has happened to us and act before they are slaughtered like in the world wars, but we know these people, and know that they are unable to move other than for their own imperialist interests and desires. Somewhere through all this collapse, a new decolonial anti-imperialist resistance might emerge. It might not. It doesn’t matter; it never has really mattered, as the world is centered not in the west but in the rest of the world. And that’s what has to be the focus.

'TRUMP's STRATEGY IS TO SET RUSSIA AGAINST CHINA'

[source]

""How is the policy of the United States going to change in relation to Russia, Ukraine and China after Donald Trump takes office as President?"

"I know what America is like, especially on the level of common people, with whom I have to communicate a lot. No one can answer the question of what is going to happen in the United States in the near future. There are many speculations on the subject and many hopes, but no one wants to make any serious predictions.

"One may hear many experts saying that USA's foreign policy is impulsive, that the Americans get involved in a fight to see what is going to happen afterwards. This point of view is wrong. In fact, the US-led foreign policy is more targeted, and their ruling class is much more rational. They know what they want. They can make a lot of mistakes along the way, and they do make them, and we do point that out. At the same time, the US always follows global goals.

"In the past, the Americans had a global goal to achieve - to destroy their main rival, the Soviet Union. It took them several decades to make it happen. The United States has very long-term goals.

"What long-term and global goals does the United States have now? We can already see them. Today, America's geopolitical rival No. 1 is China. The biggest problem that the United States has to deal with now is the absence of ways to besiege China. The Americans may crop China's feathers a little, but they can not remove China as a competitor. There is only one "clever way" for the USA to go at this point.

"It is an open secret that Ukraine does not pose any interest for the United States. Ukraine is not a part of America's geopolitical interests. Why did the Americans pay so much attention to Ukraine, including financially? Why did they achieve so much influence there?

Brzezinski used to say that one needs to set Slavic nations against each other. They set Ukraine against Russia. Now they need Ukraine to put external pressure on Moscow. Today, the Americans need Russia the way Russia exists today.

Previously, they wanted to dismember Russia. Now they do not want to do it, because in this case, the Far East and Siberia will go to China, and China will become stronger than ever before. Brzezinski's chessboard is now history.

"To put pressure on China, the Americans can block China's main sea routes and oil transportation routes, but this is not important. The biggest danger for the USA is China's intention to build the new Silk Road. China wants to replace its economic cooperation with America. China needs Europe instead. China will be able to reach Europe via the new Silk Road. Therefore, the overland route to the continent is a threat to the States.

To curb China's development, the USA will need to make Russia and China enemies. They have done this with Ukraine, and now they want to do the same with China. They need today's Russia with its strong arms and everything. The only change the Americans need is a new leader in the Kremlin. They need to change Russia's president, while everything else will remain the same."

"Do they want the new leader to be more compliant?"

"Of course, they do. They want to plant "their own" president in Russia, like they did in Ukraine. They control the Kiev authorities from outside. If they succeed in setting Russia against China, the Americans will be on top of the world again.

"Trump has already made it clear: America's prime enemy is China, but not Russia. Trump may try to convince Russia to twist China's arms.""

IS IT POSSIBLE TO DECOLONISE XMAS? PARTIAL STORY OF AN INDIAN IN ENGLISH XMAS

When Barf is not Barfi / nightmares of a white supremacist xmas

Sukant Chandan
Sons of Malcolm
25 Dec 2016

Like many if not most, I struggle hard to get through the english winter, especially coming from what seems like the constant blue skies and sunshine (and MONSOONS!) and orange glow (thats just what I remember my Homeland before I was brought here at the age of 4). Many of our peoples actually have a problem with sunshine, as we get too much of it and its too hot, hence the obsessions with water, shade, and the love of many of our people of grey skies and rain! I remember in Tripoli, Libya in the summer of 2011 that a massive winter-like storm broke out, the temperature dropped suddenly and the skies darkened, but people were so happy and walking and enjoying the storm in the open.

Growing up in the 1980s in london as a young Indian boy was very weird, especially when it came to winter and xmas. I left Chandigarh, a really beautiful and organised city of my birth, to Southall, West London. Southall is like an extension of Punjab (massive amounts of Paistani and Indian Punjabis, mostly Indian there) / India / Pakistan (now also Somalia and East Europe), its the biggest concentration of South Asians outside of of South Asia in the world. So in *some* ways it wasnt so different from Home, however, it was clearly very different from home. One of the many first smacks to my system that this was ajeeb sa juggha (strange kinda place) was when the winter I arrived, one of the coldest in the last 40 odd years, that the land was covered by  a layer of very pretty white fluffy stuff - snow - that we call 'Barf', but the word for Indian sweets is 'Barfi', so I conflated the two, thinking this land was literally covered in sweets: but every time I went to try what seemed to be this loely sweet stuff, as soon as it touched my tongue a shock went through my system that this was some disgusting tasting yuck. That, perhaps, was a metaphor for my entire life in this country.

Winter was bleak in this country. What on earth is this? Darkness. Very cold. None of my extended family are around for me to run off with and be naughty and have fun. Where's my paternal Uncle (Mamaji) who used to pretend to give me the ends of his cigarettes that I pretended to smoke and drink whiskey and have pretend fights, cos my 'hero' was Amitabh Bachan, and this rebel without a cause neo-liberal individualist whiskey drinking street fighting singing dancing charming film star was mine and million of other South Asian, and Russian, and African children's hero who I acted out in my imaginary play, including in the aisles in the cinema, with everyone smiling and laughing at this 2/3yr old playing Amitabh with full vigour. No, those days were behind me, I was thrown into the middle of the enemy territory, carrying on inside me the lives of both my grandfathers who fought the people who run this new land I was in, they fought them in two continents: Africa (Kenya) and Asia (unidivided India), and I had come to the continent of Europe to carry on the family tradition.

Southall was a forward base of India in Britain, and it still is, with further additions and spreading of Asian people who have basically taken over the whole of the western regions of London, and further afield like Slough, Reading, Luton etc. Going to primary school there was kinda normal to me, but there were these white women who were teaching us in another language, apart from that we were all Indian kids apart from one white kid. Xmas just wasnt on our radar, we didn't really notice it. Probably the primary school tried to brainwash into a western colonial xmas, but it didnt register. I didnt watch TV, I lived in an Indian community, and the strange things was the darkness and cold in the winter and it why does everything look so grey?!

The other thing that made me kinda surprised and perhaps some kind of excitement as it was a bit of a spectacle was spotting a white person when usually my Father took me to the high street to shop at the grocery stores and the Muslim butcher. I always gawped at the head of the goat in the display cabinet at the butchers. This is one of my favourite memories, going with my Father to the shops, often it was dark, but the fruit and vegetables were all laid out spreading onto the pavement, the Indian music playing and the sounds of the languages and the smells just made me feel like I was in India. A lovely homely memory. But I was still in enemy territory, little did my very young child mind realise. My younger Brother and my only real actual sibling arrived within one year of my arrival in London. I remember being very loving and caring towards him, in the hospital after he was born I wouldnt let anyone else touch him or go near him as he was 'mine'. I still have a picture of my leaning over his hospital crib protectively with my tired but elated mother watching on.

By around 1987 we moved to Ealing Broadway, we got a little two bedroom flat on a beautiful road. I moved into a local primary school, best years of my life, but this was half white and half non white, and a mix of working class and middle class kids. I have never known middle class people until this time in my life. The school I suppose reflected London broadly at that time. And I had now entered into the mainstream of colonial London. We had a TV that I seemed to watch more. I got brainwashed into coca cola, michael jackson, madonna, hollywood bullshit colonial culture. It became what I wanted to be, it became a means of denying myself, despite my parents always trying to do their best to keep my pride up of who were are, especially my Mother always reminding me that we are from a people of ancient civilised histories, that we are nothing less than the people over here, that they have no real culture. It didnt kick in any of this until my political awakening at 15yrs old, and then again at around 23 yrs old. At 15 and then 23 Black Power was increasingly blasting out from my inner zone of life.

But as a child as you grow and your system starts to absorb more and you act out what you absorb. Xmas was a massive propaganda project as it still is. What was Xmas to my child's mind? It was the most important celebration of people in this country. It was when the children got presents from this old white guy with a white beard from somewhere in even colder up in north europe. It was about families gathering together. And it was a very english white tradition and event. ie., nothing to do with me! All my family I was close to were back in India. When you get the feeling families are getting together and you don't do that, it makes you feel like you are something less. It was just a very alien festival that you felt you had to be a part of. But I wasnt. We never had a xmas tree, I wanted one, maybe I nagged for it. I demanded and nagged xmas presents, so kindly and generously my Mother fed my spoilt nagging. She shouldn't have, it isnt wasnt ours to celebrate, to waste money on, but more important perhaps she shouldnt have inadvertently fed my growing inferiority complexes by allowing me to indulge in this.

You have to remember, this was in the 1980s, Indian and non-white people who werent Christian didnt really develop any assimilation into this festival at all, I am not saying they should and those that do are not without problems, they are. But these days I think non-white people have in massive numbers adapted a kind of xmas to suit them, many of us do the xmas roast etc. Back then, we did our thing, they did theirs, and we slowly started to interact and fuse the things together, not all of us but many of us.

Recently I was at a really nice 'stay and play' xmas party in south London, there were some hundred young working class mothers with their children (three fathers including me), and it was so interesting to see the Asian and African mothers really trying to sing along to hymns and carols and songs about xmas that they didnt know, but they were so keen in trying to involve their children into something that is so alien to them but that it is the host colonial nations culture and festival. It made me sad and happy, happy cos mothers love their children and children were happy at this singing together and the free good food and free wrapped presents for every child, however it made me sad that our people are so keen to give into the culture pressure of pushing their children into a culture that they needn't and perhaps shouldn't assimilate into. Can we decolonise xmas?

As I have grown older, winters became harder and harder, the colonial commercial crassness of xmas, the dark and cold was just very hard for me. Once I started really focusing on my healthy eating and exercise in my mid 20s, things started to improve through winter and xmas, but its still very hard. I started to appreciate the change of the seasons, the last leaves on the trees. The first blossoms in the spring, and the period of hell that lies in between the two. I started to appreciate that for all its nonsense xmas lights are an attempt at bringing light to where there's darkness. But still the lights look so pathetic, it always feels and looks like the darkness always wins over the light in this country!

Xmas is bad for you. Those who indulge in it one would like to think we make of it the best we can, focus it on family and gathering together through the dark to make the children happy. That's wonderful and beautiful. But there is a sharp and intense viciousness to it as well, a viciousness that creates a lot of pain and hurt in many ways and for many people, including white english working and middle class people. But if you are non-white, its a really vicious thing. One thing I think I would like to see more and I will be doing is the coming Christmas, to promote and celebrate the ways our people from our southern continents have made this celebration their own in many ways. I know Christians in Ethiopia and Eritrea, in Palestine and Syria and Lebanon, in India and Pakistan, in the Andes have Christmas of a kind that people here know nothing about, our songs, dress for Christmas is something people in the west know nothing about. Christianity is a religion of the East, not of europe! The religion has been colonially occupied and is awaiting liberation, a process that is in or hands.

Wishing our children all the happiness and liberation that we adults and parents can provide. I won't ever fail them. Merry Christmas and the very best for health, happiness and liberation to you and yours.

SOCIOLOGICAL OBSERVATIONS ON THE ENGLISH DURING XMAS - PART 2

Part 2 of sociological observations of the english during 'Xmas'

In the shopping centres and at some children's events the English like to make a small enclosed space, like a little cave which they decorate with fake snow and get a man to dress up in the colours of the coca cola company and a big white beard.

Usually men who do this job are the type that want to be very close to a lot of children, this is a big part of english culture as the English have raised their children to love and adore those that like to sexually abuse and even kill them in quite large numbers, something that the great institutions of english culture - the bbc, nhs, police - facilitated Jimmy saville and others to do this to children for five decades straight. The English are so proud of this that they do nothing about it and will do nothing about it.

So the English encourage their children to go into this small cave to the stranger with the coca cola suit and white beard. They tell their children that 'you won't get your present from him unless you have been good!'. 'Being good' in English culture usually means making sure they only eat their meals (actually really potato and bread, bananas if they are lucky) on the condition they have an I-pad showing a video not more than 12 inches from their face. 'Being good' also often means staying on their games consoles as long as possible and allowing their parents to enjoy fully their collapsing marriages. Now a generation of children have become adults who have been raised by the english people's new parents: games consoles and I-pads and I-phones: now most young adult english want to be porn stars, they consider it a great honorable career that they call 'sex work'. When the new porn star mass english community become parents (most english don't want children, or the elderly) and have children , surely these families will benefit greatly from the mass sex work culture.

The strange man in the coca cola suit is said to be a white north european man. In Belgium and Holland the strange man has little black slave helpers, they too will only get their presents only if they have serviced the strange man adequately through the year. The Belgians and Dutch consider this to be a foremost aspect of their celebrations, and laugh at non white people who complain.

The English consider it very important to their culture that the strange man comes into their homes at night without them knowing, some miserable non white people have had bad experiences of white men sneaking into their countries so are not so keen, but english people seem to really like those traditions and are keeping them alive by ensuring children think white strange men bring them presents and that they should spend their whole year trying to please him.

I will be sharing further my sociological observational studies into the English during their Xmas celebration festival.

SOCIOLOGICAL OBSERVATIONS OF THE ENGLISH DURING 'XMAS'

Seeing it is the Xmas season, I will be sharing sociological observations on the english and how they celebrate this their most celebrated event in the calendar. Part of this great national community event is to force people often small children to stand in small crowds in the cold and dark looking rather sombre and sing songs; yes these sound like funeral songs, they are dull, depressing and sung with great melancholy and with all the lack lustre that can be mustered: but actually these are 'hymns' celebrating the birth of the prophet Jesus. The adults who force children to sing these songs seem to be only able to cope with this by drinking as much alcohol they possibly can in what they call 'mulled wine', made from the spices they have stolen under genocide for centuries from Asia, perhaps this mulled wine is a celebration of that history? The English seem rather satisfied in singing these songs and drinking until drunk and trudge off in the dark and cold to their homes.

I will be sharing further sociological observations on the English this coming several days.

IMPERIALIST DANGER IN DR CONGO

#DRC / #Congo: I am receiving reports from radical Pan-Africanists (politically closest to Mugabe and Gaddafi etc). There seems to be a Libya / Syria 2011 imperialist directed regime change style building-up. The opposition calling for "peaceful protests" then shady human rights organisations report the deaths of about 20 people to the UN. No names given, no proof. The govt denies. All Belgians have received instructions to leave the country. The opposition is fervently pro-usa. The African Union mediator in DRC has denounced the usa for supporting the opposition. He claims that during a meeting a member of the Congolese opposition actually told him: your country is France's backyard our country is US' backyard, keep out.

The wider context to this is that the Southern African Development Community and its leadership in Africa and the Global South is a strategic threat to imperialism, and imperialism is constantly harassing it and looking to destroy it, with the most obvious mechanisms being the usa and uk were on the verge of an actual military invasion and divide and ruin mission against Zimbabwe in circa 2001, scuppered only by the ANC and Mbeki. The other obvious attack on SADC is the western-generated war there that has killed millions.

20 THINGS WESTERN LEFTY COULD HAVE DONE ON SYRIA THIS PAST 6 YEARS, BUT DIDNT

20 things the western left SHOULD have done in relation to Syria (and still could do!)

Sukant Chandan
Sons of Malcolm
Dec 14 2016

The western left have shown themselves this last five years since the war on Libya to be near perfect and complete echo chambers and cheerleaders for the destruction of Libya and now Syria, Yemen, and soon to come Cuba, Iran, China and others. Here are some things that western-based radicals should do in relation to Syria, same can be applied for Libya, and Iran, China etc:

1. Understand and study that the ‘UK’ is the number one or perhaps the number two imperialist and colonial power in the world.

2. That the Brit system develops overt and covert wars as a growing fundamental part of its own survival, war is money and domination and collapses obstacles and counter oppositions.

3. Read Patrick Seale’s biography of Hafez al-Assad and Syria, and get a wide appreciation of the history, social struggles and controversies of the Syrian Arab Republic. Really, if you haven’t read this book, you should perhaps have no right at all to speak.

4. Study how the PKK was actually formed in large part through the assistance and support of the Syrian government from the late 1970s until 1999. Lebanese Hizbollah and the Syrian government were the foremost backers of the PKK for decades. This doesn’t excuse some of, what I consider, to be the wrong approach to the Kurdish issue by the Syrian govt, and it doesn’t excuse what I consider the rather politically sectarian approach of the PKK forces to the Syrian govt, when it all said and done, both (in the form of the YPG and Syrian govt) have basically hardly beefed each other this last five plus years, and instead have strategically been on the same side more often than not shooting at the same enemies and not each other.

5. That the brits have colonised and developed sectarianism (Saudi being the most glaring and obvious example) and given weapons, protection to THE MOST depraved sadistic elements in the ‘Middle East, like they have done in other parts of the world: giving life to these extreme anti-people raping lynching elements is the only way in which colonialism has EVER maintained its control

6. Understand how the brits and the french divided the region, and how they sowed the seeds for sectarianism, and study the many Resistance movements and liberation movements.

7. Study the role of the ‘Muslim Brotherhood’, and ‘Al Qaeda. (Daesh, Aurar Sham, FSA, Nusra and many others) in many of these countries including Syria in allying with the brits and yanks to maintain the latter’s control and domination in the region through pure terror, and also funding and protection from the ‘west’.

8. Understand how these Resistance movements turned into strategic victories like Hafez al-Assad leading a social revolution of massive land reform and nationalisation on the basis of a mass revolutionary movement and alliances, breaking the back of the imperialist/colonialist-landlord and comprador capitalist rule of Syria; how Syria in the words of leading neocon thinker daniel pipes (I have debated with him twice now on tv) is the ‘Cuba of the Middle East’, ie., that it was and remains a radical socialist-oriented independent state and social experiment.

9. Look into exactly which armed gangs and death squad factions the brits are closest too, who the brits are financing and protecting and proliferating.

10. Look into, expose and campaign against how the brit state is developing death squad recruits in britain itself. Some *850* (!!) people have gone to join Daesh this last several years. Who is organising them? How is the british state protecting them? How is the left and liberal circles providing white wash and cover for this? There are SPECIFIC and easily appreciable death squads including Daesh but many more that are openly organising here with protection and facilitation and more from the british state. FIND OUT who they are and expose and campaign for an end to this dirty bloody racket.

11. Learn and popularise how this country has gone to open and covert wars with Syria and the allies of Syria. Learn about Lebanese Hizbollah and the Amal movement in Lebanon (backed by Syria). Learn about the different socialist, marxist and communist organisations in Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, and other places that the Syrian govt has and continues to support and give asylum, refuge, and even military training to. Including Palestinian Islamic Jihad I should add amongst others.

12. Understand how the brit state organises its junior partner Saudi Arabia to ensure a very sectarian perversion of Islam is what most Mosques in this country churn out and brain wash people into. Understand that there are A LOT of Muslims totally fed up and disgusted by this racket, but they have no voice and nowhere to go and no one to give them leadership politically.

13. Find the answer as to why the west has decided at this historical juncture to destroy Syria, Libya, Yemen, Egypt, Tunisia, try and destroy Algeria, Mali, Nigeria, Pakistan. Find out why former nato and usa military leader wesley clark said Syria, Libya, Iran and Korea were all in-line to be attacked by the yanks.

14. Learn about how before in 1982 the west tried to team up with the ‘Muslim Brotherhood’ in Syria and conduct an armed (failed) coup that involved killing many state functionaries, and this happened the same year the zionist state invades and occupies Lebanon until they were expelled largely by Syrian govt -backed resistance movements.

15. Learn how the Syrian govt has some of the most progressive policies and successes on women rights and equality, health, education, industry, and how Syria is one of the few countries in the world that has little to no imperialist media, advertising and economic penetration. No adverts for coca-cola, hollywood shite films, and absolutely no engagement with the zionist state, actually a continuing state of war between the two for many many decades.

16. Look into why the western left has hated and campaigned against *EVERY SINGLE* actual liberation ideology and liberation movement and country. Investigate why THIS is one of the most effective forms of RACISM/WHITE SUPREMACY that serves the said system.

17. Look into and appreciate why and how the Syrian govt is very close to the best socialist countries we have had and have, for example the VERY close relations between the Syrian govt and the FSLN, Cuba, Vietnam, ANC etc.

18. Understand how Syria and Libya fit into a larger strategy and design of the destruction, yes, just the total destruction of further countries, with Iran, Algeria, Egypt and others directly under threat of total annihilation.

19. Appreciate how the failures of the western left on all these things and more has directly meant that people have sought more what *seems* to be much more functional answers from the far right and the fascists especially when it comes to the western state collusion with death squads in fake islamic garb, these fascists manipulate to promote their own vicious racist agenda, at the same time increasing amounts of people an see that these death squads are directly supported by the west, but the western left is mostly helping and assisting this western state - death squad collusion and coordination.

20. OPPOSE COLONIALISM AND IMPERIALISM!! You are living in the most genocidal entity known to anyone ever, and this state and system is STILL conducting and planning further genocides and destructions. Understand that your role is to really only oppose your own state that is wreaking havoc around the world, and the havoc is directly funding your privileges and raised existence in the world. Or is that the reason you will basically cheerlead every imperialist project of destruction against us, cos you just want to protect your colonial indulgences and lifestyle?

COLONIAL WINTER BLUES

At the Islamophobia conference by Islamic Human Rights Commission last Saturday you had Ramon Grosfoguel (excellent decolonial scholar) and leader of the decolonial Party of the Indigenous of the Republic from France Houria Bouteldja talking a whole load of great sense and me from the floor talking about rising fascism, the terrible situation where our organised resistance forces are meagre to negligible and the massive sell out of the western left to rising fascism such as brexit, trump and le pen. But the room was totally divided by the non brits who seemed to be clear about all these issues and then westernised and white left brits being in total hostility and in denial to all the things obvious to the non brits.

We are stuck: we need an organised force of dozens if not scores of people to do some proper grassroots political liberation work in our communities, but people internalised too much brit colonial garbage and corruption and indulgence and it's nearly impossible to create a force to do anything. I feel so hopeless. I will always primarily defend our global South peoples and countries, there is a real fight and real people and a struggle that means something. It would be nice to be able to develop something here in the 'west' but everything of all what I have studied and nearly 25 years of my own political experience informs me nothing is possible here. I don't know anymore. Everything seems so bleak, I feel more alienated and estranged from activists in the west more than ever, they are living dead that sometimes make some social media posts lol. I feel myself retreating into dark humour as a coping mechanism. I can see the end of the global South on the horizon, I can feel it all slipping away, and I mean: all. It's the start of a very bad political collapse, maybe something will pick it all up? Maybe this is a temporary phase of such collapse of struggle and leadership? Maybe it's not and we headed for a whole new and final bunch of our countries being destroyed in the coming years? No one gives a fuck in the west. They never have to. They only give a fuck about ensuring colonial genocide delivers them their goodies.

THOSE USING LIBYA TO PLAY UP TRUMP NEVER DID ANYTHING FOR LIBYA

Let me say a very clear thing: I see many people who support Putin and Assad use how the Yankee democratic govt of Obama-Hilary destroyed Libya in 2011 for their support for trump / brexit / le pen fascism. I have been working hard on Libya and with Libyans and continue to do so since Feb 2011; I can tell you clearly that nearly 100% of these fascist collaborators have never done ANYTHING about Libya except 'like' and post the odd thing about Libya. You have no right to use and abuse Libya for your embarrassing sell-out to fascism, you have been utterly useless idiots for Libyans and done nothing for them except use them for your own egotistical emotional games and posture, and even if you had done anything for Libyans, the utter stupidity of thinking the rise of western fascism is going to help anyone, makes you the laughing stock of our ages. - Sukant Chandan, Sons of Malcolm

THE SECOND FASCIST MURDER OF JO COX

Don't Be Party to Another Political Assassination of Jo Cox

Sukant Chandan
Sons of Malcolm

In recent years since the end of the 1990s we have seen the rise of a new fascist movement, the 1990s until the mid 2000s saw the rise of the fascist BNP, they ended up getting hundreds of councillors in the early 2000s, and then the state and intel services pulled the plug on them and instead focused on developing other leading fascist organisations such as UKIP, EDL and then Britain First, as well as allowing a whole bunch of other smaller fascist and nazi organisations to flourish in this same time.

The fascist organisations, led by an increasingly open racist state and population, terrorised our communities especially Muslim communities for years, attacks, murders galore. Then came the great fascist upsurge with the brexit referendum and its brexit victory. This was greatly excited, united, galvanised the entire fascist, nazi and far right elements directly and openly with the state for the first time in this country's history. Jo Cox was one of the most hard working anti-Brexit campaigners, shitty politics on Syria: yes, but she was attacked by a fascist terrorist because she was seen as pro-immigrant, pro-Muslim.

thomas nair is the same of the killer, he was(/is) a fascist obsessive, he had a gun, knives, fascist magazines from around the world, and stabbed Jo Cox in broad daylight 15 times and shot her all within 2mins, the first time ever a sitting MP has been killed in this country. The murder of Jo Cox is he greatest political assassination in this country since the 'troubles' in the occupied Irish counties that ended in the late 1990s (although Ireland is still occupied by the brits).

Nair shouted "britain first" before he killed Jo Cox, linking his action directly and explicitly with an actual fascist organisation that is protected and facilitated by the state - Britain First; and this murder is an overtly political terrorist act inspired directly by a fascist upsurge known as Brexit.

And THIS is the second murder of Jo Cox, there has been an amazing non-stop white wash and cover up to these issues of state-sponsorship and protection of far right / fascist terrorism, MANY far right terrorist attacks take place including people who are badly maimed and even killed, organised terrorist attacks from organisations that are never addressed at all; it has been a total cover up of the fact that Brexit has united all the many scores of fascist, nazi and far-right factions united with ukip, the tories going right into a direct alliance in the Brexit campaign with elements of the labour party and the even 'far left'.

The second murder of Jo Cox is to deny and white wash, cover up and systematically ignore ALL the actual contexts and premises that directly led to her assassination. Don't be fooled, as *soon* as Jo Cox was killed, the intel services went into full action to 'control the message', they downplayed it totally and have ensured that from Jo Cox's husband, to Corbyn, to the entire labour party and connected community that none of them dare ask for what really must be demanded:

- A public inquiry into far right terrorism that killed Jo Cox and has attacked many others

Amazing that in a context of clearly growing fascism in this country and across the west, no one has bothered to demand a independent public inquiry into this, to investigate what's going on with the far right terrorist community in this country and what the authorities are doing about it and how they are interacting about it.

Jo Cox, like Arek Jozwik, is our martyr in the struggle against New Fascism / 21st Century Fascism. Tragically, there will be more. How can we treat these martyred humans in such a degraded manner that we, and especially those who have much more influence than us such as Corbyn etc that they can't even demand basic justice and dignity in demanding a political investigation to this *politically motivated hate crime/terrorism*. It is because this is political expediency, Jo Cox's murder is a really awkward irritation to Corbyn and the pro Brexit Fascist Left. If you don't believe me, ask them! Ask them and you will hear them all day everyday say 'its nothing to do with brexit'. Nothing?! The guy shouted "britain first" during the brexit referendum and attacked and killed a woman who was campaigning for Remain.

Going forward, we MUST demand investigations into these things, but we ourselves must do the political struggle and investigation into this, because the british state is working hard to manage these array of fascist and nazi forces that are now united in a massive brexit fascist alliance, and the left is for the most collaborating to cover-up this scandal cos they are either pro brexit fascism themselves, or even if they are not pro brexit, many of them are defending the fascist collaborators and are arguing that the murder of Jox Cox has no connection with brexit.

Please do not join in a second fascist assassination of Jo Cox, expose and fight the British state - far right alliance and collusion.

IF IRAN SOLD OUT LIBYA IN 2011, DON'T SELL OUT IRAN TO iMPERALISM

Islamic Republic of Iran and Lebanese Hizbullah sold out the Libyan Jamahirya in 2011, in a fit of deep opportunism and embarrassing wrong-headedness they threw that people and country to the Nato devils and their death squad dogs, Iran joined in destroying that country by their media *and* by sending military to assist the raping lynching mutilating Nato death squads. Iran has to date expressed no reflective critical corrective as to this. These are all facts.

*HOWEVER*, as imperialism develops a war of destruction against Iran, we who are loyal to the Green Jamahirya and United Libyan anti-imperialist Resistance, should not in our approach to this stoop to the level the Iranians in 2011, one does not take on an unethical criminal approach, just cos some other fool does so. No, we remember how decade after decade Gaddafi had Iran's back, sometimes the only Arab (Africa) leader to do so; how throughout 2011 he stated that his resistance to Nato is also defending Iran, he knew the sell out the Iranians did to Libya, but never admonished them but instead reached out to them saying that they are both in the same struggle and they should unite. It was VERY dignified of Gaddafi to have behaved in that manner and, as as you all know, I took a lead from that dignified but critical stance and have never attacked IRI although their opportunism at times wrankles greatly.

Failing to defend Iran as imperialism comes for it, is a disservice to the struggle and our resistance in Libya, as if Iran falls, it will make the tasks of the Libyan Resistance so much harder, an attack and destruction of Iran will signal the coming destruction of the region further and Algeria, which will directly negatively impact the Libyan Resistance.

I am no less upset than anyone else about the Iranians and Hizbullah in 2011, I know more than a lot of people about the Iranian - Libyan dynamic and problems, but am an no fool, I am not someone who allows our enemy ANY space to pass, and neither did Gaddafi despite all his mistakes (that pale into insignificance frankly compared to his victories that continue increasingly awe and inspire me everyday), Gaddafi would back EVERY position against the common enemy, he sought to bring us ALL together, remember his speeches at the Arab League where he stated all this clearly. Follow the great man, not one's own petite egos of resentment and bitterness.

Let's be wise and dignified in our approach to decolonial anti-imperialist struggle, we are going into even more political disasters and the thing we more and more desperately need is unity, clear sightedness, heightened mature and sophisticated political vigilance and an ability to not fall for but scupper every single direct and indirect colonial divide and rule. Stay Green and clean.

THE N-WORD & THE P-WORD AND SOME OF OUR YOUTH

The N word, the P word and anti-Muslim/anti-African/anti-African-Asian-ness towards Somali youth

Sukant Chandan
Sons of Malcolm
22 Nov 2016

The most vicious one is the N word, that is generally accepted as crossing the red line with the masses of our youth, its a victory on the one hand that people KNOW not to say this, but this victory is off-set by the fact that the white imperialist-controlled 'entertainment' (colonial brainwash) industry has normalised the N word used between by a considerable section of our African heritage youth to refer towards Black people. However, it is clearly a victory that the N word is well know to be off limits although colonial agents in the 'entertainment industry' are facilitating its normalisation across the world.

The horrific colonial racist slur 'Paki' is still very common, although its well known by those who use to be extremely offensive. It is used extensively by white youth but also African heritage youth against those they consider are Asian, especially South Asian. When African heritage youth use the P word, they do it often knowing that their own family member(s), a grandparent or great grandparent or some other direct family member(s) is of Indian heritage usually from the Caribbean. It's actual use is a weird mix of knowing it is off limits but it is used anyway quite a lot against Asian people, and sometimes against other peoples who people wrongly assume are Asian/South Asian.

The lack of teaching and understanding that there is a massive Asian/South Asian presence in the Caribbean and the cross-fertilisation of Africans who were forcibly taken there and the Indians who were less so forcibly but forcibly taken there too by the brits, is a gap and something we have to fill and celebrate that unity of the two peoples in a new land, albeit a stolen land on whose native people genocide was committed by the european colonialists.

And then we come to the upsetting but interesting case of racial slurs against our Somali community, Somalis and East Africans seem to confuse people who have swallowed colonial racism, lots of complex things I am not going to go into, but basically our youth attack Somalis (generally not Muslim youth from Africa or Asia, but they do sometimes as well) on the basis that they don't look what is the stereotype of a 'Black African' phenotypes (physical appearance), they are also Muslim, many of them look quite similar to South Asian people, so the slurs against the Somali youth from other of our youth includes 'Abdi' (meaning slave, it actually is often used in names as in slave to the most high, but like paki which means pure/real thing/true, it has been warped into something disgusting), also Walahi (literally: by God), sometimes these two words are used together as a slur 'Abdi Walahi'. Racial slurs against Somali are the most acceptable out of all of them.

There is SO MUCH to say about all of this, but the bottom line is that this is all evidence that a considerable section of our youths (and adults!) have fallen into the most obvious colonial and imperialist divide and rule ploy. These colonial divisive strategies are becoming more effective and more pronounced in the work of the british state, and its arms such as the bbc, media and schooling. I don't see anyone talking about these issues and addressing and countering them. In a context of brexit/trump and growing fascism, the western states are deepening their divide and rule, and in so-called radical circles these divisions are being spun as radical by the colonial identity politics industry.

In a lot of these 'radical' circles there is a lot of anti-Muslim and anti-Asian prejudice being spewed and spun as some kind of radical posture, its not, its just internalised colonial divisions, they come straight out of the centuries long english colonial handbook. There is much less anti-Black anti-African prejudice in radical circles, although there are still major issues here in terms of addressing (I mean lack of addressing and appreciating) African liberation on the continent, and the role of African people as their communities are developing in the 'west'. SO MUCH UNITY building to do in the face of much more divisive colonial nonsense being internalised and coming to us directly from the imperialist ruling classes.

RACISM IN THE WESTERN LEFT

From "Divided World, Divided Class: Global Political Economy and the Stratification of Labour Under Capitalism” book by Zak Cope

“A great deal of political and economic capital is invested in racist discourses. Racism is not simply the epiphenomenal accretion of market mechanisms but, rather, a means of organising market forces politically. In Western Europe and the USA, the working class has no tradition of anti-capitalism that has not been derailed by economic and political embourgeoisement relying upon (national and international) racial discrimination for its substance. The alliances and allegiances formed by the metropolitan working class with states, parties and labour organisations that have consistently and vociferously promoted and upheld imperialism has ensured that the rights and interests of its victims have always appeared at best nugatory and at worst injurious politically. The political consciousness of the metropolitan working class is attuned to its historical interest in defending the status quo against any and all anti-imperialist rebellion. While the scapegoating of immigrants and ethnic minorities for social problems is exacerbated by capitalist governments’ refusal to supply adequate social needs (jobs, housing and equal rights) equally for all citizens, rivalry between the First World’s long-term white residents and non-white communities over resources and life opportunities is based on the former having decisive material, political and cultural advantages which they endeavour to preserve at the latters expense. Thus the organised labour movement in the core countries has not only neglected to struggle against the special oppression of the op pressed working class, it has actively involved itself in supporting imperialism.

White supremacy is sustained in and through imperialist capitalism. The established organs of imperialist democracy collude in and promote the racial-hierarchical management of class conflict. As such, the racism of the working class at the centres of the world capitalist system is not the result of a kind of sweeping backward consciousness as many socialists and liberals would have it. Rather, it is the end result of a process of political struggle wherein the economic and political privileges of living in an imperialist nation have come to seem natural and acceptable to the majority therein. The growth of racism occurs through the reproduction of the established mode of production of the contemporary era; that is, the practices of capitalism and its concomitant neocolonialism, imperialist division of labour, border controls and wars. Only in understanding these phenomena, their political supports and their dehumanising effects, can we begin to effectively challenge racist discourses and practices.”

IS RUSSIA GOING TO ACQUIESCE TO A uSA WAR AGAINST IRAN?

Is Russia going to allow Trump fascist imperialism to destroy Iran?

Sukant Chandan
Sons of Malcolm
Mon 21 Nov 2016

This is a post that pains me greatly to write, never written a post with such anxiety . But the danger signs are too big for me not to say something with the intense hope and prayers that I have got this very wrong. As many of us know, the Russian leadership have been supporting the global south in many important historical ways, but also there has been a worrying escalation of them doing as much as they can in soft-power to bring to power fascists in the 'west' with the terribly and frankly criminally wrong-headed delusion that western fascists will be 'nicer' to Russia. The RT (Russia Today) channel has been the most important and leading platform for global fascism, especially in the last year or two. But there are many other neo-fascist platforms run from Moscow that surround us.

Russia has been putting out the notion that Trump as well as Farage, Le Pen and other fascist leaders will be 'nice' to Russia, than hitherto have imperialists been with Russia. Putin has tied himself into knots from his Bonapartist (limiting class conflicts in favour of a elite leadership of the country) politics that plays to the Soviet socialist anti-imperialist masses, but draws them towards and is loyal to the Russian nationalist oligarchs who are firmly in control. Putin has lost his mind, desperately trying to get imperialism to treat Russia as equals, and now he has convinced himself and many others that western fascist victories will be of benefit to Russia. What an insult and humiliation to the 40 million Soviet martyrs against fascism in the 1940s, which proves beyond any shadow of a doubt that european/western fascism will, despite the apparent colonial tricks, will seek to prepare the ground to destroy Russian independence. While playing to our socialist martyrs, Putin is dragging that legacy in dog shit, and using the anti-imperialist socialist sentiments of the former Soviet peoples to help develop a fascism that they sacrificed so greatly to defeat.

We have had so many people paid by Russian and their leading fascist (Aleksander Dugin AKA Dugin the Dog (apologies to dogs)) to promote Trump, they have been doing it for many many months, and now they have the victory their were being paid to achieve. These political sociopaths really think that Trump is going to befriend Russia? THIS is the point we have to dig right into:

It seems to me that Trump will pull what the usa and western imperialist states did with Obama and Libya. Use Trump like they did Obama to lull sections of the global south to sleep, and then when guards are slightly down go for the kill and knock out Libya, Syria, Yemen, Tunisia and nearly Egypt and aiming for Algeria, Hizbullah. The Palestinian struggle has been already been neutralised and is currently just not a strategic struggle, although we must of course support it loyally. I think what is taking place is that the leading factions of the usa ruling classes have brought Trump to power to trick the Russians into thinking that the yanks are going to 'normalise' relations towards Russia.

Why on earth would an imperialist system in freefall crises into fascism befriend Russia? It would not of course, as it is seeking even more vicious domination. So what's going on? What's going on is I think, a la Obama, Trump will lull the Russians, cut a deal with them and say: listen, we will go soft on you, ease the sanctions, bring in you fro the  cold. The usa doesnt even NEED to be too nice to the Russians for too long, they just have to give them the impression that they will be nice to them *just* long enough to prepare the media war propaganda to take along the masses to acquiesce in a war of destruction against Iran like they did to Saddam's Iraq, Gaddafi's Libya etc. I been saying for more than five years: after knocking out Libya, Tunisia, Syria, downgrading Egypt, Yemen; they will go directly onto Iran.

Iran is bogged down in Iraq and Syria and to a lesser extent Yemen. Hizbullah is bogged down in Syria. The Syrian government are hanging on a string that the Russians are holding. In the event of a full war of destruction against Iran (like Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya) the Iranians straits of Hormuz military strategy will not work, the usa can blast everything out of the water no problem. Iran will partner with Lebanese Hizbullah to launch rockets onto israel, south Lebanon and the border with Syria will be wasted in no time by the usa military. Anyway, if israel fries in all of this, its not the biggest deal for imperialism, israel is a junior attack dog in the region that is expendable, always has been, just used and armed as long as they are useful.

Without Russian backing and support, Iran has no real strategy other than long term peoples war to perhaps in the next generation or more to defeat this aggression.

All the imperialists need to do is to ensure the Russians dont move when they go for Iran. That's it. They don't need anything more. The usa might be saying to Russia: guys, just look the other way when we go for Iran, like you did with turned away when we went for Libya in March 2011, and then we can divvy up the region and all that oil between ourselves and remove one of the biggest obstacles in the region. Once the operation on Iran is under way, the usa and western imperialists will then turn their crosshairs to China and Russia. Russia will not escape, it will be brought under total imperialist domination or will have to fight back. The massive danger is that the Russians are fooled for a few years, Iran is destroyed, and then Russia are totally surrounded from the south.

f/when Iran is attacked and Hizbullah launch again against israel, will Russia side with Iran or israel? I hope I am totally wrong, but indicators are that it will side with israel, too much goodies out of that relationship on military, economic and political things than compared to Iran, a 'third world' state struggling, whereas israel is a outpost of modern imperialism with its up to date modern high-scientific-military-industrial complex. It takes militant anti-imperialist ideological and strategical clarity to side with Iran and not with the enemy, China has that commitment, not Russia as things stand currently. China-Iran will be talking right now about the Trump-Russian problem.

The other hard line nationalist figures in the Russian state will be having arguments right now with Putin's faction, but the problem is that those arguments might be off-set by the harder nationalist elements thinking there is some great opening with Trump that they want to go for. Trump's likely secretary of state is john bolton, that signals a clear approach to war on Iran, the sanctions will be deepened, the nuke deal will be ripped up and war will be developed against Iran. Even if bolton is not chosen, the mood music from Trump is rapprochement with Russia so as to go gung-ho to Iran and China, that's very clear.

Our role is to shout and scream that this does not happen, to demand Russia stays loyal to ALL sections of the global south including Iran and China against imperialism; that we demand GREATER military cooperation and aid to Iran and China and that they speed up their defences to the maximum asap; that we battle to defeat the infiltrating fascists who are delivering all of this. Other factors that might help in this situation is that imperialism in a fascist crisis just cannot maintain a steady deceitful approach to Moscow, they go in too hard and make mistakes and lose Russia like they did after the last 'reset'. Also, China and Iran and other allies could make moves to try and scupper this bullshit from Moscow, but that's not really China's style, and Iran don't have the capacity to dictate anything to the Russians really without China helping out big time. India under the BJP may also sit on their hands if there is a war on Iran cos despite India and Iran being very close, the current BJP sectarian for big business are natural allies of Dugin's 'eurasian'-style fascism. We have lost Brazil, and that region is being defeated and not seeing further victories. If you stand still you go backwards, existence and liberation requires constant movement forward.

We can chart so much of this back to the massive historical blunder for the global south struggle that was Libya 2011. We don't have to look back far in history to see a precedent to what I am speculatively analysing here, only five years ago our global struggle fucked up big time and defacto allowed Libya to burn to an horrific end by Nato. The global south has seen what happened, many of them know what needs to be done to ensure it doesn't happen again, but there is no will, determination and leadership to implement the lessons going forward.

We are in growing extremely precarious times. If we lose Iran, we have definitively lost the region, and China or India or Algeria will be next, and then they will finish off with Russia, and 'latin' America will be a walk over cos imperialism is in no mood for massive military occupations a la Vietnam 1954-1975, Iraq 2003 and Afghanistan 2001. and all they need to do is send missiles until nothing stands. Africa, especially SADC countries have always been up for regime change and neutralisation, and that's going on against South Africa, they are preparing the country for annihilation using the DA and the EFF as pincer movements, Zim is holding on precariously as are the other states. We are talking about a new streamlined, refined, imperialism that has as its operational models Syria and Libya, no overt military on the ground (of course there are special forces a-plenty, covertly), use sectarian supremacist death squads to do the raping, pillaging and mutilations and societal collapse, bomb from the sky, send in the specialist private company mercenaries, and extract and grab and steal wealth at much as can be possible, and if you can't extract much, well you did what your crisis necessitated you to do: destroy all obstacles and seek total domination.

God, prove me wrong, I beg you.

QUICK COMMENT ON HISTORY OF ZIONISM

A quick comment on Palestine, imperialism and Jews and settlers; tags: zionism, colonialism, anti Jewish racism:

The zionist terrorist organisations were slaughtering the brits in the mid to late 1940s as is well known.

Since the start of the last century the brits have recruited and organised colonial settlers who happened to be Jewish to go to take land in Palestine, a project of colonial divider and rule and colonial settlerism.

However, part of the massive anti Jewish racism in this country is in part related to british soldiers getting slaughtered in Palestine by the zionist terror orgs in the mid and late 1940s, brits felt angry cos they felt that they helped save the Jews in the war (which they did with many profound contradictions and colonial hypocrisies) and this is what they get in return.

It was only until the Suez war against Nasser and Egypt that tel aviv developed a strategic relationship with imperialism as juniors to contain independence movements like Nasser's and growing radical anti imperialist socialists and communists and nationalists.

ON 'POLITICAL BLACKNESS'

I wrote this recently in one of my threads, SO MUCH more important stuff to be said that basically just isnt in the conversation on this issue, a rather narrow conversation that seems to be increasing in volume, but here's a few points:

Don't know if there is 'an answer' to what is Black what is White etc. 'The answer' is a journey, a process of self-critical and critical liberation-oriented study, research, and action and struggle. For me, first of all we have to explore where this racialisation comes from? Who has defined it, and why? What does it mean to be white and not white or Black?

From my research and studies in life thus far I have come to understand this:

Before european colonialism there was no political power that racialised people into a hierarchy of who is human and who is not. European colonialism brought this racialisation based on false and constructed biological premises.

this region I am currently residing in became known as 'europe' in the same process that white and black was defined.

Black was associated with the East and with the South, ie., with Asia and with Africa, as Asia and Africa were in a battle with these people and region that became known as white europe/europeans, the Ottomans from the East, and the 'Moors' from Africa.

However: racialisation of the other was taking place in europe before the colonial period as explained by Cedric Robinson in Black Marxism.

So from a time a few thousands years ago that a North African Roman ruler ruled England (Septimus Severus) to the point that this thing called white europe happened, there is a lot to fill in as to why this maldevelopment.

Beyond that, and the second important point is that colonialism does two things at the same time:
1, it divides people into whiteness and non-white, into human and non-human, and white and black., and also

2, it creates a divide and rule mechanism in many ways, including but not solely between colonised peoples according to their regions and anything that can be seen to be or constructed to be different and then divide them from each other. One of the main ways in doing this is a colonial caste system based on shade of skin and phenotype.

Darker people are not just African. You find very dark skinned people in their hundreds of millions across South Asia, SE Asia and Far SE Asia or Australasia, as well as people in the Americas who are directly African heritage but also Asian heritage people and of course the Native people of the continent.

When we talk about phenotype and not just melanin, then again we find that African people have the GREATEST genetic diversity, greater diversity between people who have always resided in Africa relative to those who have left Africa when humans have left Africa in around the last 100 thousand years. This is because humans have existed in Africa for millions of years, which meant there is more genetic diversity amongst them. So again, Black becomes a very complex thing when talking about Africans, cos the way in which some African people look like (phenotype) and shade of skin can be found in very similar ways elsewhere. So a few examples:

a) There are clear similarities between many African peoples of of East Africa and South Asia. East African people look strikingly like North Indian/Pakistani and Bangladeshi people.

b) There are people with 'kinky' hair and dark skin and broad noses, phenotypes of *particular* groups of Africans in South India, and these people are found across South and SE Asia into Australia, with the Black and Native people of Australia being closely related to these peoples.
c) And then to give a final example you have the people of SE Asia like in Papa New Guniea who have very curly 'African' hair, broad noses and are very dark: if you meet these people without knowing where they are from, you might probably assume they are 'Black African' people. But they are not. They are Asian people who are also, imho, Black people. As are all the people of Asia.

Like African heritage people in the Caribbean and Africans in the continent, there are differing degrees of melanin in the skin of people of Asia from the very dark as dark as any African on the continent, and as light as any person from europe. but they are ALL colonised racialised peoples; they are all outside of whiteness as defined by coloniality and imperialism. Do they have anti-Black prejudice? Yes, like all people including darker people everywhere and lighter non-white/Black people everywhere, yes some of them do. But colonialism and imperialism has still and continues to define them and treat them outside of whiteness, as 'Black'. This is something to unite around, and a very potent tool of unity. Doesnt have to be called 'Black' but the unity of colonised and colonially racialised people is a massive massive challenge if not THE MOST important challenge and accomplishment we have to achieve.

There is a LOT more to be said, but I will finish on this. When I said at the start of these debates we should make clear what we set out to achieve politically, I am setting out to achieve to understand and ACT on the facts that we appreciate the ways in which different sections of colonised and colonially racialised peoples are oppressed, and that sections of them self organise, but MORE importantly that we recognise the ONLY times we advance as oppressed peoples is when we unite together and fight together, and that people who are attacked by the system are racialised non-white people who are put into and defined as Black people by the system. We cannot say that colonialism treats one colonised people worse than another, yes we should appreciate scales of suffering, but the operational framework of colonial oppression has been more or less 'equal' in its genocide against people of all three southern continents. People should recognise their commonality, and gather together in a Black Revolution, as Malcolm X argued.

I STILL think this piece by Malcolm X for me in terms of a shorter summary of this issue, is THE political line we should take leadership from: http://sonsofmalcolm.blogspot.co.uk/…/malcolm-x-defines-bla…

FILIPINO PRES WELCOMES REFUGEES AND DENOUNCES WEST's ANTI-REFUGEE AGENDAS

Duterte willing to take in refugees until Philippines is 'filled to the brim'

[source]

President Rodrigo Duterte said the Philippines is ready to take in refugees “until the country is filled to the brim.”

The tough-talking president told Al Jazeera’s “101 East” to be aired Thursday that his critics from the west could learn from the Philippines in this aspect.

Duterte had called the European Union and the United States hypocrites in a speech last September after concerns on killings and rights violations in his war on drugs.

“Kayong US, EU you can call me anything. But I was never into or I am never into hypocrisy like you… Close your doors, it’s wintertime, there are migrants escaping from the Middle East. You allow them to rot and then you are worried about the death of about 1,000, 2,000, 3,000?”

He said refugees could always come to the Philippines.

“They can always come here, and I will even welcome them until we are filled to the brim… I say send them to us,” he said.

“We will accept them. They are human beings.”

The International Organization for Migration recorded over 1.2 million first-time asylum claims in the EU by the end of 2015. Higher numbers of asylum claims were from war-torn countries of Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq. The EU granted protection status to 333,350 asylum seekers last year.

Over 5,000 refugees lost their lives in the dangerous journey to escape conflict, while tens of thousands were exploited by human traffickers, United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said during the International Migrants Day on December last year.

Ban said that “2015 will be remembered as a year of human suffering and migrant tragedies.”

“[M]illions have been made into scapegoats and become the targets of xenophobic policies and alarmist rhetoric,” he said.

Although Duterte is often compared to Trump, the Philippine leader's stand is a far cry from the incoming US president.

The US is seen to go down hard on immigrants with Trump's inward-looking policies. Trump’s team is mulling a Muslim registry, deportation of three million illegal immigrants and ban on entry of migrants from countries with a proven history of terrorism against the United States.

Historically, the Philippines became a refuge to over 1,300 Jews escaping the Holocaust between 1935 and 1941.

The country also offered refuge to Vietnamese boat people after the Vietnam War ended in the 1970s.

N-WORD INCIDENT ON MY HIGH STREET

Walking down my high street, nice group of four 14yr old best friends arm in arm, three of them South Asian one East African, they having a nice time and bantering and one Asian lad says to another one for in friendly jest something something then uses the N word to refer to his friend: I step in straight away with a sharp but not too aggressive: *dont* use that word. Youth is somewhat startled his friends laugh and say he shouldn't use that word. Intervene constructively if you see or hear the youngers acting incorrectly, it has an impact. That Asian youth will never forget that another Asian man his father's age told him not to use that word. These are our children in or communities, I respect them and seek to move with them towards liberation.

TRUMP SUPPORTERS NEED TO SHUT UP ABOUT LIBYA

All I want to say about the Yankee elections is that anyone who criticises Hilary on Libya, unless you are working directly with anti imperialist Libyans, you need to stfu using and leeching of Libyans for your posturing. Libyans are humans, and they are helping to lead the global struggle, respect them, don't use them for your bullshit.

WHAT DOES HILARY REPRESENT?

the over-emphasis, the obsession with cussing hilary (i am not supporter at all of course), giving primacy of attacking hilary over trump, and frankly the amount of not very subtle trump promotion or just open trump celebration: all of that has led us exactly to where we are today.

Hilary represents most of the existing ruling circles and the continuation of the imperialist order in a context of growing imperialist crises.

Trump represents a small section of the ruling circles who decide that fascism is the direction to go into, to help along the freefall collapse of the status quo towards a fascist imperialist status quo.

For me this is utterly A B C stuff. Why have people lost sight of the utter basics?

We are deep in a ideological, ethical, cultural collapse that is directly feeding trump, brexit.... more is to come. PLEASE don't be party to any of it. We have had more than enough now of these massive smacks in our peoples faces.

ON BLACK MINERS IN eNGLAND

African and Asian people in this country didn't know that there were many non-white miners here. It didn't impact the depth and passion of our support to the striking miners. African and Asian migrant communities in England gave massive disproportionate support to the Miners in this country when they went on strike in the early 1970s and then again in the historic strike of 1984-'85.

Although many Miners were openly racist towards us, a racism depicted in many documentaries on the subject, African and Asian people saw the Miners as oppressed people by the same oppressors who were targeting us, and despite their racism as long as their struggle was directed against the state, we supported it with great enthusiasm. Miners who were racist would see our people and think all manner of racist shit about us, but many of these racists had to accept that we gave them a lot of solidarity, concrete direct support and love. Was this ever reciprocated? Not really, apart from a few moments that were very limited in many ways anyway like Arthur Scargill supporting the Asian women strikers at Grunwick.

Arthur Scargill especially had a relatively deeper understanding of racism and imperialism than many other trade union leaders. Coming from the most militant trade union, Scargill could appreciate a bit more than others what racism and imperialism is all about. But the limitation to that and the contradictions of someone like Scargill has also always seen him take UK nationalist positions, albeit from a left posture, such as opposing immigration to this country and his advocacy of Brexit and being in a deeply problematic alliance therefore with right wing and far right political forces.

I personally was a leader of Scargill's party - the Socialist Labour Party - for several years in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Scargill was and is to some extent one of the greatest radical socialist orators, but also someone who has never managed to shed the constraints of UK nationalism. Has anyone of the English left who has any leading position and is white ever thoroughly overcome this problem? I don't think so. Scargill would proudly speak, as he still does, of being the son of Irish immigrants. There is a major problem in this country of people of immigrant heritage, especially Irish who now generations later as residents of England have adopted too much whiteness and racism, something that Bernadette MacAliskey raised in the context of Irish people in the six counties. How can one be the child of immigrants and support the growing vicious anti-migrant project that is Brexit? Perhaps only one that has internalised racism and UK nationalism.

Despite a few comments over the decades, I never knew about Black miners in this country. Many of them were in Nottingham, the Nottingham area NUM infamously sold-out the strike in the 1980s. The Black miners were put into a very tough situation whereby they were on the bottom of the ladder amongst their workmates, and also in society and in relation to the police. Also from the article below, you can see how difficult it was for them to navigate the complex terrain of racism in their lives in relation especially to their work, colleagues and industrial disputes. Some of the stuff in the article below is just terrible: only being respected when you are in the pits, but on the surface the white colleagues stick to the other whites and the racist abuse towards the Black colleagues is ignored by the Black workers as they didn't want tensions down the pit. Horrible dehumanising stuff. And as the NUM banner shows, 'brothers under the surface', but above the surface?!

However, there must have been other non-white miners across the country, and having known more about these brothers, if African and Asian communities knew about them and that they were celebrated, it would have deepened the working class struggle of African and Asian people trying to develop a consistently and militantly anti-racist united working class movement. However, the problem is that this has never been achieved despite some level and partial amounts of unity achieved here and there. The fact that these non-white miners are hardly known and never became a part of the working class culture in this country shows how powerful racism is that through a silent white supremacist violence kept this reality hidden and suppressed. And even the Irish heritage of working class communities here has been battered by racism to such an extent that many Irish heritage working class people in this country their political actions and analysis can often be hardly counter distinguished from racist white english people.

In a context of growing Brexit fascism and racism, we have to do all that we can to positively assert these realities and Resist racism in the UK state and from amongst vast swathes of its population.

How Britain’s black miners are reclaiming their place in history

Thousands of black miners worked in Britain’s pits from the 1950s onward – and a new project has discovered that while racism was accepted above ground, deep underground there was no divide

[source]

One of the things that attracted Fitzalbert Taylor to becoming a coal miner was the warmth. “It was like I’d emigrated to a different country down there,” says the 88-year-old. “It was so warm. When I was in the building trade, I couldn’t feel my arms or my legs – donkey jacket, two pairs of trousers and you were still cold.”

Taylor moved to the UK from Jamaica in 1954 when he was 26, and spent 25 years working as a miner. Now he has joined about 20 men who are involved in a project that aims to record the experiences of black miners in the UK – Coal Miners of African Heritage: Narratives from Nottinghamshire.

The project will produce a collection of audio recordings and oral histories, along with a booklet to help preserve and share the miners’ stories. The initiative’s founder, historian Norma Gregory, says the role black miners played in the history of British mining industry has been badly neglected. “I’ve searched through so many books, films and archives, with the help of volunteers, and I’ve found very few mentions of miners of other nationalities,” she says.

Gregory is also working with the BBC to produce a programme about the history of black miners, due to be broadcast later this year.

Depictions of Britain’s industrial history tend to focus on white working-class communities, but Gregory’s research into Nottinghamshire’s mining industry has revealed communities of miners from Italy, Lithuania and Poland, as well as the Caribbean islands.

It’s important to recognise that “this country wasn’t built by one set of people”, says Gregory. There are no reliable records of how many non-white miners worked in British mines but Gregory estimates that between the early 50s and the late 80s there were nearly 1,000 men of African-Caribbean origin working in Nottinghamshire mines at any one time. Collieries did not keep records of workers’ ethnicity, and when pits started closing in the 1980s personnel documents were often destroyed, leaving researchers like Gregory to rely on former miners to suggest possible interviewees.

Garrey Mitchell started working at Gedling colliery in Nottingham in 1975, aged 17, and worked there until 1986, when he left to start his own business. He got the job because the manager had known his father, who was also a miner, and who had emigrated from Jamaica in the early 50s. “We were very united down there. You had to be,” says Mitchell. “You had to watch each others’ backs. Colour didn’t come into it. We were all on one level.”

Lincoln Cole [pictured], 83, father of the ex-England footballer Andy Cole, worked at Gedling from 1965-87, after he left Jamaica in 1957. “I enjoyed mining, because you got to make friends,” he says. “If a finger got crushed, there would be somebody there to come and give you a helping hand.”

“Once you came back on to the surface and had a shower, then the white folks would stick to themselves and the black folks would stick to themselves,” says Mitchell. “But when you were down there, you were automatically united, because you knew you were all in the same boat.”

Gedling colliery – where many of Gregory’s interview subjects worked – employed men from 15 countries and was described as the “pit of nations” in a 1967 Daily Mirror report. In the 60s, 10% of the pit’s 1,400-strong workforce was thought to have hailed from the Caribbean, and the colliery’s union banner showed a black miner alongside two white colleagues above the words “Brothers beneath the surface”.

The harmony depicted on the banner, however, did not represent race relations in Nottinghamshire. On 23 August 1958, the city saw a 1,000-person-strong race riot, a precursor to the violence that erupted in London’s Notting Hill a week later. Eight people were hospitalised and the Nottingham Evening Post wrote that Nottingham had become like “a slaughterhouse”.

Cole says his introduction to the city in the early 60s wasn’t particularly pleasant. “There were teddy boys with bicycle chains,” he says. “From six o’clock you couldn’t go out, because they would kick you left, right and centre.” While racial tension was simmering over on the streets, it does not feature much in the accounts from below ground. When a colleague used a racial slur against Cole, the colliery manager told the offender to apologise immediately and threatened to sack him. The men report that opportunities for promotion were limited because of their skin colour, and Mitchell says black miners generally brushed off racist comments by colleagues: “There was no use having friction, because it would give a bad atmosphere and [that was] the last thing you wanted.”

When the National Union of Mineworkers went on strike in 1972 and 1974, black miners in Nottingham joined their colleagues on the picket line. However, along with 73% of their fellow Nottinghamshire miners, most did not strike during the 1984-85 strike.

“I stood side by side with the miners who were on strike,” says Mitchell, who did strike in the 80s. “You had to stand with your colleagues, you couldn’t let them down.”

Taylor recalls being asked to stand at the front of the picket line during a strike in the 70s. “If the policemen had seen me at the front, [a black man], you can just imagine how they would have hit me,” he says. “I’d been in this country too long not to know what was going off.”

In an interview with Gregory, Taylor said that the experience persuaded him that industrial action was not for “us black men”. “After the 1972 strike, I said I was never going on a picket line again,” he said.

Many of the ex-miners now suffer from long-term health issues such as emphysema, pneumoconiosis, or “black lung” (coal dust in the lungs), and chronic bronchitis. “It was hard work, because you had to be on your hands and knees,” says Cole, who fractured his hip bone in an accident. “My body was knackered, but it was worth it, because it was secure [work].”

Taylor was forced to take seven months off work after an accident left him with a broken helmet, a “bust head” and a broken jaw. “I didn’t know how bad it was until I resumed work and one of the men said to me: ‘Albert, when you came up that day and I looked at you, I thought you were dead.’”

The project seeks to redress a historical oversight. “I went on the internet to find out about black miners in Britain and there was nothing at all. I was very surprised. We’ve just been left out,” says Mitchell. “I feel hurt by it all, because black people contributed a lot to the mining industry.”
